Use either bounds or a polygon for rooms, floors, and doorways. Polygons preserve concave footprints. Navigation obstacles require bounds and block the agent with clearance. Leave geometry blank only for labels and POIs.
POINT-CLOUD SEMANTICS

Propose walkable regions for human review.

The processor normalizes a verified PLY through an authored source-to-world transform, then proposes horizontal occupancy for review. It creates candidates only, never authored rooms or measurement claims.

Choose provisional SU when real scale is unknown. SU supports aligned navigation but not metre or area claims. Furniture, ceilings, stairs, glass, sparse floors, and overlapping levels can mislead extraction; inspect every polygon before acceptance.

Choose which polygons become editable room seeds.

Walkable candidates

Acceptance creates an authored floor grouping and editable room polygons. It does not certify walls, accessibility, title, area, or survey accuracy.
VENDOR-NEUTRAL FLOOR PLAN

Derive rooms, walls, and opening candidates.

The processor normalizes a verified metric point cloud and produces an indicative proposal. PLY is read natively; E57, LAS, LAZ, and PTS are normalized through PDAL with recorded provenance.

A registered trajectory (for example the Trion's .trajectory.las) becomes traversal evidence: rooms the scanner physically visited are recorded on the proposal so genuine doorways can qualify for automatic walkability.

Expert extraction values

The automatic defaults are the normal path. Change these values only when the registered source evidence proves a different orientation or extraction requirement.

The machine closes likely door-width gaps only to segment rooms, then keeps those gaps as unclassified opening candidates. It does not infer legal areas, survey control, or construction tolerances.

Align and compare two immutable PLY assets.

The leased processor can estimate bounded yaw and translation before comparing voxel occupancy, centroids, and mean colour. Every transform remains quality-gated evidence for human review, not survey registration.

Automatic mode preserves scale and gravity, searches yaw and translation only, and blocks change analysis when overlap, RMSE, or ambiguity gates fail. Large inputs remain private and immutable.
